Maui, My Love!

The second week of our vacation was a trip to Maui. Before we boarded the plane on Oahu to get to Maui, yours truly became sick... I was so sick to my stomach, I had to use several air sickness bags on the plane ride -- thankfully it only took about an hour and a half. But the majority of the trip to get to Maui and where we were staying in Kaanapali is now a blur. It must've been food poisoning because I was out of it for just a full day. I woke up to a beautiful view at the condo we rented.







Our rental car this time around? A convertible! Yes, it was a splurge, but it was worth every penny to feel the wind in my hair and the sun on my skin. We explored the majority of the island... The Hana Highway was CRAZY and I can't believe they don't sell "I Survived..." bumper stickers for that, but I'm really glad we made the trip.





I loved the atmosphere on the island. It seemed so much more laid back than Oahu, especially Waikiki. Now I understand why so many Alaskans rave about Maui.
